Welcome to the Limpsfield Junior School home learning page. We are very aware that Covid-19 has the potential to have an impact on your child’s education through self-isolation or lockdown requirements. Remote Learning

If your child is unable to attend school because of Covid-19, and are well enough to complete it, we will provide them with work to do at home. Google Classroom is our main platform for providing remote learning, although we are also able to deliver work to children if required. We have provided children with regular training and practice on how to access Google Classroom however, if they do encounter any problems please contact the school for support.

We also have a stock of laptops and chrome books that we are happy to lend if you do not have a suitable device or you need multiple devices.

If you would like some further information on Google Classroom, below is one of many tutorials that are available on YouTube.

Spelling shed

Spelling shed is an online resource where children can access games and resources to help them practise their weekly/fortnightly spellings that are set in class. Their teacher will set assignments (similar to those for TT Rockstars) where they can play games and earn points. It is a fun and engaging way to help them practice their spellings. If home learning is required at any time the weekly spellings will be available to access through this forum. Children will have been given log in details to access this website, which have been (or will shortly be) added to their homework books.

Oxford Owl

Oxford Owl is an online resource to support learning at home particularly with reading. The website features an eBook library for 3 to 11 year olds, which includes advice and support for parents as well as educational activities and games. Children have been given log in details and these have been (or will shortly be) added to their homework books.

Keeping Active

It is really important that as long as you are well enough you all keep active. There are lots of links on the internet that can help you to do this and some of these are below. In our opinion, the Joe Wicks exercise videos are still our favourite
