At Limpsfield, we value sport and PE, and its importance in keeping us fit and healthy. Sport is a great way to support a healthy lifestyle, to develop resilience, support teamwork and is also a lot of fun!

We are committed to providing children opportunities to access a wide variety of sports and healthy activities. We are also committed to providing children with opportunities to take part in competitions.

What is Sports Premium Funding?

The Sports Premium Funding is an initiative facilitated by the current Government to enhance the provision of P.E. and School Sport in primary schools. The funding, a direct response to London 2012, is available to primary schools. Each primary school will receive a lump sum depending on the number of pupils on roll and then a further sum per pupil on roll.

The funding that Limpsfield has received will allow the school to continue developing its provision. The school will develop its P.E. curriculum, providing a rich, varied and balanced provision with quality resources, staff CPD and high-quality teaching and learning for all children.

It will also provide further exciting opportunities for children to be challenged and allow them to compete in school and out of school.

The Association for Physical Education (afPE) website provides advice on how the Primary PE & Sport Premium should be used.
